Rebecca Pierce is an accomplished public speaker who has given talks and led workshops around the world. She has been featured as a panelist on NPR's All Things Considered, addressed academic audiences at Harvard, NYU, Northwestern, Youngstown State University, UC Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara University, and has led community events in San Francisco, Oakland, Saint Louis, Chicago, New York, Texas, New Orleans, and Jewish communities in Europe.
Her current presentations include:
A Lens on Injustice , a talk and screening event which explores mass incarceration in Israel and Palestine through her short form documentary work with Palestinians, Mizrahi and Ethiopian Israelis, and non-Jewish African refugee communities.
Other Together: a new presentation on Black Jewish solidarity that explores the ways that racism and antisemitism are inherently linked, how these issues manifest in our communities, and how to navigate tensions created by a white supremacist system that pits marginalized people against each other.
She also leads workshops for Jewish audiences on addressing internalized racism, as well as programming aimed at educating communities of color about how antisemitism is part of white supremacy.
